Difference Between Frogs and Toads

Did You Know??
- Toads ARE frogs?  Well, they belong to the frog family at least!
- Frogs have smooth, wet skin that looks slimy.
- Toads have drier skin that looks bumpy, kind of like warts! (But you can't catch warts from toads, that's a myth!)
- Frogs have skinnier bodies while toads look wider and fat!
- Frogs have long legs, while toads don't need them long because they walk, don't jump!
- Frogs have webbed back legs to help with swimming.  Toads do not since they live on land!

Now it's your turn!
Search the internet for 5 more differences between frogs and toads.  Send your findings to me either in an email or post it on your own blogs!

  1. Great blog- lots of information and a great variety of activities! Younger students always love to learn facts and then encouraging them to go on a scaveneger hunt for more facts is a great idea- I know it would be a very popular activity!
